Grizzlies Edge Out Pistons in a Nail-Biter at Little Caesars Arena

The Memphis Grizzlies, with a record of 25-50, narrowly defeated the Detroit Pistons, who now stand at 13-62, in a closely contested battle that ended with a score of 110-108. The game was marked by several lead changes and both teams fighting for dominance on the court.

The Grizzlies' performance was highlighted by their impressive third-quarter rally where they scored 41 points, significantly contributing to their total tally. This surge showcased their ability to capitalize on crucial moments during the game. Memphis also demonstrated strong defensive skills with nine blocks and eleven steals throughout the match.


Offensively, the Grizzlies were effective in scoring from various positions. They managed to put up 52 points in the paint and added another 20 points through second-chance opportunities. Their bench players made substantial contributions as well, chipping in with 38 points.

Memphis's shooting accuracy from beyond the arc stood at 33 percent as they made eleven three-pointers out of thirty-three attempts. From closer range, they shot at a fifty percent clip for two-pointers and excelled at free throws with an eighty-three percent success rate.


On the other side of the court, despite being outscored overall, Detroit showed resilience throughout the game. The Pistons had an efficient night shooting from within the arc hitting fifty-seven percent of their two-point shots and maintained a thirty-nine percent accuracy for three-pointers.

Detroit's bench outscored Memphis's reserves by four points but it wasn't enough to secure victory against a determined Grizzlies squad that led for over eight minutes of playtime. The home team did manage to have more time leading during this encounter but ultimately fell short when it mattered most.
