Grizzlies' Key Performances

Ja Morant led the team with an impressive 23 points, complemented by five assists and four rebounds. Despite struggling from beyond the arc, shooting just 14 percent from three-point range, Morant's ability to drive and finish at the rim was on full display. His performance was critical in keeping the momentum on Memphis's side throughout various stages of the game.

Desmond Bane also stood out for his contributions, adding 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Bane's versatility was evident as he managed to make significant plays both offensively and defensively. His efficiency from both inside and outside added depth to Memphis's attacking options.

Jaren Jackson Jr.'s defensive prowess was another highlight for Memphis. With three blocks and one steal, Jackson Jr.'s impact went beyond his scoring contribution of 16 points. His presence in defense deterred numerous attempts by Orlando players inside paint.

Orlando Magic's Resilience

The Orlando Magic showcased their resilience by maintaining a close gap throughout all quarters despite trailing behind in terms of scoring efficiency compared to their opponents. Their bench contributed significantly with 22 points but fell short against Memphis’s bench which added a crucial 41 points to their tally.

Orlando’s fast break opportunities were capitalized more efficiently than those of Memphis; they scored 17 fast break points at a conversion rate of 62 percent compared to Memphis’s nine fast break points at a rate of only fifty percent.
