Memphis Grizzlies Narrowly Miss Victory Against San Antonio Spurs in High-Scoring Game

In a closely contested match at the FedExForum, the Memphis Grizzlies fell just short against the San Antonio Spurs with a final score of 128-130. This game brought the Grizzlies' record to 38-22 and the Spurs to 25-33 for the season. Grizzlies' Standout Performances


Jaren Jackson Jr. led the charge for Memphis with an outstanding performance, scoring 42 points, grabbing four rebounds, blocking two shots, and stealing twice. His shooting was efficient across the board – hitting 60 percent from field goals overall and an impressive 62 percent from beyond the arc. Zach Edey also made significant contributions with his near-perfect shooting night; he scored 17 points on 100 percent shooting from inside while also collecting nine rebounds and blocking three shots.


Santi Aldama's all-around game was another highlight for Memphis as he tallied up 15 points alongside a team-high of eleven assists and eight rebounds. His ability to contribute across various aspects of the game showed his versatility and importance to his team's efforts.


Spurs' Key Contributions


On the opposing side, San Antonio showcased their depth with significant bench contributions totaling 71 points which played a crucial role in their victory. Their balanced attack was evident as they managed to distribute their scoring load effectively among players while maintaining efficiency on offense.


The Spurs were able to capitalize on fast break opportunities scoring seventeen fast break points at an eighty percent conversion rate which contributed significantly to their offensive success throughout this matchup.
