Grizzlies' Performance and Key Players


The Memphis team had notable contributions from several players despite their defeat. Jaren Jackson Jr. stood out with an impressive performance, scoring 26 points with an efficiency of 59 percent from field goals. His contribution was crucial in keeping the team competitive during key moments of the game.


Desmond Bane also made significant contributions with his all-around play, recording 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. His efforts on both ends of the court were vital for Memphis as they tried to close gaps created by Oklahoma City's offensive surge.

Ja Morant added to his team's efforts by scoring 23 points and providing six assists. However, turnovers were an issue for Morant as he committed five during critical phases of play which hindered some offensive momentum for Memphis.


Thunder's Dominance


Oklahoma City capitalized on their home advantage early on by establishing a strong lead in the first quarter with a scoreline of 32-17 against Memphis. Their ability to maintain pressure through fast breaks was evident as they scored 21 fast break points compared to just three from Memphis.

The Thunder's defense played a pivotal role too; they managed eight steals which disrupted several plays initiated by Memphis guards like John Konchar who struggled offensively without scoring any point or making significant defensive stops throughout his time on court.
