First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams neck and neck, with Memphis scoring 24 points compared to Houston's 23. The Grizzlies displayed solid teamwork with Cam Spencer contributing significantly by dishing out assists that kept the offense fluid. However, it was Jaren Jackson Jr.'s defensive prowess that stood out as he managed two blocks early on.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Memphis extended their lead slightly by adding another 30 points to their tally while Houston scored 28. Santi Aldama made his presence felt on both ends of the court with efficient shooting and strong rebounding efforts. The Grindhouse capitalized on fast-break opportunities but struggled from beyond the arc.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, both teams continued to battle fiercely. The third quarter ended with Memphis scoring 23 points against Houston's improved performance netting them 25 points. GG Jackson contributed offensively for Memphis but turnovers began creeping into their gameplay which allowed H-Town to close in on their lead.

Fourth Quarter

The final period proved decisive as what went wrong for Memphis Grizzlies became evident; they were outscored significantly by Red Nation who put up an impressive 32 points compared to Grindhouse’s mere 22. This surge was fueled by effective three-point shooting and capitalizing on second-chance opportunities which marked a turning point in favor of H-Town.

Despite commendable individual performances from players like Vince Williams Jr., who showcased his versatility across rebounds and assists, it wasn't enough to counteract Houston's late-game momentum shift which sealed their victory.
