Clash at Smoothie King Center: Minnesota Timberwolves Take On New Orleans Pelicans

As the Minnesota Timberwolves prepare to face off against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Timberwolves have been on a tear this season, boasting an impressive record that has placed them among the top contenders in their conference. With their recent victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on December 9th, where they scored a dominant 127 points and led for over 39 minutes of game time, confidence is high within the team's ranks.

The MT's offense has been nothing short of spectacular, showcasing a balanced attack that saw them shoot 50 percent from the field and an exceptional 92 percent from the free-throw line against Memphis. Their bench depth was also on full display as they contributed a hefty 54 points to secure that win. This kind of performance is not an anomaly for this squad; it's become their standard.

Defensively, MT has shown they can be just as formidable. In their game against San Antonio Spurs on December 7th at Target Center, they managed to block an astounding 10 shots while holding their opponents to just under 95 points. This defensive prowess will be crucial when going up against a Pelicans team known for its dynamic scoring ability.

However, it would be remiss not to acknowledge that even strong teams have areas to improve upon. The MT did show some vulnerability in fast-break situations during their matchup with Charlotte Hornets on December 2nd at Spectrum Center where they failed to score any fast-break points despite five attempts.

Looking ahead to their encounter with NOP, fans should expect MT's stars to shine bright once again and lead by example both offensively and defensively. The key battle will likely take place in the paint where MT has consistently outscored its opponents throughout these past games.

The upcoming game promises excitement and high stakes as both teams vie for supremacy on December 12th at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans – tip-off is scheduled for what equates to local time zone conversion of Monday night at 7:00 PM CT (Central Time). Fans eager not to miss any action can tune into BSN or BSNO networks depending on locale preferences; channel numbers are available through respective service providers for those watching from home or elsewhere outside of attending live events.
