New Orleans Pelicans Soar Past LA Clippers at Crypto.com Arena

In a display of offensive efficiency, the New Orleans Pelicans outpaced the LA Clippers with a final score of 116-106. The victory at Crypto.com Arena improved the Pelicans' season record to 16-12, while the Clippers now stand at 16-10.

The New Orleans Pelicans demonstrated their scoring capabilities early on by putting up an impressive 36 points in the first quarter and maintaining a strong lead throughout most of the game. Their largest lead was a substantial 21 points, reflecting their dominance on court. The team's offensive efforts were backed by shooting nearly 49 percent from the field and an effective field goal percentage of about 55 percent.


The Pelicans also excelled beyond the arc, hitting ten three-pointers at a rate of approximately 42 percent. Inside, they were just as formidable with over half their two-point attempts finding success and contributing to their total paint points tally of 52. Free throws were another area where they capitalized, making around 74 percent from the line.

Defensively, New Orleans held firm as well with five blocks and six steals contributing to their efforts. They also outrebounded their opponents significantly with a total rebound count of nearly double that of turnovers committed.


On individual performances, it was not just about scoring but also sharing responsibilities; evidenced by distributing twenty-six assists across various players which helped maintain an assist-to-turnover ratio above one.

The LA Clippers put up a resilient fight despite trailing for much of the game. They managed to take advantage in fast break situations scoring twenty-four fast break points off eighteen attempts which is higher than what New Orleans managed in similar situations. Their bench contributed significantly too adding twenty-six points to their cause but ultimately fell short against a determined Pelican side.


As for upcoming fixtures, fans can look forward to seeing if New Orleans can carry this momentum into their next game against Utah Jazz at Delta Center in Salt Lake City on November 26th at around 9:30 PM Eastern Time (ET).
