The New Orleans Pelicans showcased an impressive offensive effort against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies but fell just short in their pursuit of victory. The home team's performance was highlighted by their remarkable free throw accuracy, hitting 22 out of 24 attempts for an exceptional 92 percent conversion rate. Their prowess from beyond the arc was also notable as they drained 11 three-pointers at a solid rate of 44 percent.

The Pelicans dominated possession time, leading for nearly 38 minutes and achieving their largest lead of the game at an imposing margin of 24 points. They were able to capitalize on turnovers, scoring an impressive total of 26 points off their opponents' mistakes. Additionally, they demonstrated efficient ball distribution with a total of 23 assists throughout the game.

Despite these efforts, it was not enough to secure a win against the tenacious Grizzlies who managed to take control in crucial moments. The visitors showed resilience and capitalized on second-chance opportunities by scoring 17 points from such plays and exhibited strength inside with a dominant performance in paint scoring where they tallied up to 62 points.

Defensively, both teams had similar numbers in blocks and steals; however, it was ultimately Memphis's ability to convert fast break opportunities into points that proved pivotal in this tightly contested match-up.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate watching their team take on another challenge as the New Orleans Pelicans are set to face off against Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on December 21st at around half-past seven PM Eastern Time. This upcoming game will be broadcasted for fans on BSOH channel number six hundred sixty and BSNO channel number six hundred seventy-six dash four.
