At the Toyota Center, the New Orleans Pelicans demonstrated their dominance early on by securing a substantial lead and maintaining control throughout the game. The team's offensive efforts were evident as they shot an impressive 50 percent from the field and an effective field goal percentage of 57 percent. Their prowess inside was particularly notable with a high points-in-the-paint percentage of 69 percent resulting in 50 points scored close to the basket.

The Pelicans' defense also played a critical role in their win. They held their opponents to just under half their attempts from within the paint and limited them to only two successful second-chance shots out of five attempts. With six blocks and three steals, they disrupted many of Houston's scoring opportunities.

On an individual level, contributions across the board helped solidify this win for New Orleans. The bench added a valuable 20 points while starters maintained efficiency on both ends of the court. A balanced attack saw every player who stepped onto the court contributing positively to both offensive and defensive plays.

Rebounding was another area where New Orleans excelled; they outrebounded Houston by a significant margin with a total rebound count of 67 compared to Houston's 34. This included grabbing more offensive rebounds (12) which led to additional scoring opportunities through second-chance points (15).

Despite committing more turnovers than their opponents (16 compared to five), it did not significantly impact their performance due largely in part to efficient shooting percentages across various metrics including free throws at approximately 71 percent accuracy.

The upcoming game for New Orleans will see them facing off against San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on February 2nd at around seven o'clock PM local time according to Central Time Zone standards. Fans can catch this encounter live on BSSW or BSNO depending on their location.
