Pelicans' Key Performances

CJ McCollum led the charge for the New Orleans Pelicans with an outstanding performance, scoring 45 points and providing four assists. His shooting was exceptional; McCollum hit 58 percent from the field, including an impressive 42 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect free throw percentage. Additionally, his defensive efforts were notable with three blocks.

Dejounte Murray also played a pivotal role in securing this win for his team. Murray contributed significantly across various aspects of the game by scoring 26 points and leading with eleven assists while grabbing nine rebounds. His all-around play was crucial in maintaining pressure on Utah throughout each quarter.

Trey Murphy III added another layer of offensive firepower for New Orleans by putting up 24 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Murphy's balanced attack helped spread out Utah's defense and create opportunities for his teammates.

Utah Jazz's Standout Moments

Despite falling short in overtime, Utah Jazz showcased resilience throughout regulation time. They were led by their ability to dominate early on, achieving their biggest lead of 25 points during one stretch of play. The team excelled particularly in fast-break situations where they scored eighteen points but struggled from three-point range with only twenty-four percent accuracy.

The Jazz managed to draw twenty-four fouls which translated into thirty free throw attempts; they capitalized on these opportunities by making eighty percent of those shots. Their effort on rebounds was commendable as well; collecting seventy-two boards over five quarters demonstrates their tenacity despite facing challenges defensively against a determined Pelican side.
