New Orleans Pelicans' Effort Falls Short Against Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena

Pelicans' Key Performances


Zion Williamson led the New Orleans Pelicans with an impressive display, scoring 31 points on an astounding 72 percent shooting from two-point range. His performance was bolstered by seven rebounds and three blocks, showcasing his all-around impact on the game. Dejounte Murray also made significant contributions with 21 points and eight assists, demonstrating his playmaking abilities alongside his scoring prowess.


CJ McCollum added to the offensive effort with 22 points and two assists while grabbing seven rebounds. His shooting from beyond the arc wasn't as effective as usual but he still managed to make key plays when it counted. Trey Murphy III rounded out the notable performances for the Pelicans with 14 points and three assists.

Raptors' Resilience


The Toronto Raptors showcased their resilience throughout the game, overcoming challenges posed by the Pelicans to secure victory. Their bench played a crucial role in their win, contributing a total of 37 points which highlighted their depth and versatility as a team.


Toronto's ability to capitalize on second-chance opportunities was another key factor in their success. They scored 23 second-chance points compared to just ten by New Orleans, demonstrating their effectiveness in maintaining possession and converting those opportunities into valuable points.
