New Orleans Pelicans Face Setback Against Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center

In a recent face-off at the Target Center, the New Orleans Pelicans and the Minnesota Timberwolves displayed a game full of intense moments and remarkable plays. The Pelicans, with a season record now standing at 19-52, were unable to secure a win against the Timberwolves, who improved their record to 41-31. The final scoreboard read 93-134 in favor of the home team.

Key Highlights from the Game


The New Orleans Pelicans showed determination throughout the game, with contributions across their lineup. Bruce Brown stood out by scoring 14 points with an impressive field goal percentage of 62 percent and was perfect from both three-point range (75 percent) and free throw line (100 percent). Kelly Olynyk also made notable contributions with 10 points, hitting all his field goals and three-point attempts while dishing out four assists. Yves Missi's presence was felt on both ends of the court as he grabbed 10 rebounds alongside scoring five points.


Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for the Pelicans as they gave up possession 26 times which translated into significant points off turnovers for the Timberwolves. The team's shooting accuracy was commendable with a field goal percentage of 50 percent and making half of their fast break attempts but struggled to maintain consistency throughout all quarters.

On the other side, Minnesota Timberwolves capitalized on their opportunities effectively. Their bench contributed massively with 65 points while maintaining an overall field goal percentage of 54 percent. They excelled in converting turnovers into points, amassing a total of 37 points off turnovers compared to just thirteen by New Orleans.
