Pelicans' High-Flying Start Falls Short as Knicks Rally in New Orleans

The New Orleans Pelicans faced off against the New York Knicks at the Smoothie King Center, resulting in a 130-125 victory for the visiting team. The Pelicans now hold an 8-26 record, while the Knicks improved to 23-9. Despite a strong start by the Pels, who led by as much as 10 points during the game, they were unable to maintain their momentum against a resilient Knicks squad.

First Quarter


The Pelicans came out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter, scoring an impressive 41 points. Zion Williamson was instrumental during this period, contributing significantly with his dynamic play and scoring ability. His performance set an early tone for New Orleans and helped them establish a lead over their opponents.


Second Quarter


As the second quarter unfolded, both teams continued to showcase their offensive prowess. The Pels managed to add another 34 points to their tally before halftime. Jordan Poole also made his presence felt with crucial baskets and solid shooting from beyond the arc.
