The Oklahoma City Thunder showcased an impressive offensive display, with their field goal percentage settling at 55 percent and their three-point shooting at an even more remarkable 50 percent. The team's scoring was distributed evenly throughout the game, posting 25 points in the first quarter followed by a surge to add another 34 in the second. Their momentum peaked in the third quarter with a dominant 44 points before rounding out their effort with an additional 35 in the fourth.
Despite trailing behind in rebounds with only 42 compared to Atlanta's superior haul of 54, Oklahoma City excelled in fast break situations. The bench contributed significantly as well, chipping in with nearly half a hundred points.
The Thunder were also effective inside, scoring an impressive total of sixty-two paint points and maintaining high efficiency from close range by making over half of their attempts from within that area. Their playmaking was on full display as they dished out thirty assists over four quarters but were hindered slightly by committing thirteen turnovers which translated into sixteen points for Atlanta.
Defensively though, Oklahoma City struggled to contain Atlanta’s offense which managed to score one hundred forty-one against them. Despite ten steals and one block contributing to some defensive stops for OKC, it wasn't enough as they allowed fifty-two paint points and saw Atlanta convert free throws at an almost perfect rate.
