A key factor in this game was OKC’s ability to capitalize on turnovers, scoring 19 points off them while giving away less than they gained with only fifteen turnovers themselves. Their control over rebounds was evident as they grabbed a total of sixty rebounds – eight offensive and fifty-two defensive.

The Wizards were not without merit; despite trailing throughout, they managed to score twenty-four fast break points and drew twenty-two fouls leading to free throws where they shot at seventy-one percent accuracy. However, their field goal percentage stood at thirty-nine percent which paled in comparison to OKC’s performance.
