The Thunder came out strong in the first quarter, matching the Spurs point for point with both teams scoring 37. However, as the game progressed, OKC struggled to maintain their offensive momentum. Despite shooting an impressive 49 percent from the field and converting on nearly all free throw attempts with a remarkable 96 percent accuracy, they were unable to secure a win.

OKC's performance was highlighted by their ability to score inside; they made an impressive 60 percent of their two-point attempts and racked up a total of 60 points in paint. Their fast break efforts yielded them 22 points but only converted on seven out of twelve attempts. The bench contributed significantly as well with 28 points.

On defense though, OKC had challenges containing San Antonio's offense which was firing on all cylinders. The Thunder managed to block only two shots while recording six steals throughout the contest. They also drew twenty fouls but committed seventeen themselves which contributed to their difficulties in gaining ground defensively.

A key moment for Oklahoma City came when they managed an eleven-point unanswered run that shifted momentum temporarily in their favor; however this was not enough as San Antonio responded strongly each time OKC closed the gap.
