From the onset, the Thunder struggled to keep pace with the Celtics' offensive onslaught. The first quarter ended with Oklahoma City trailing by seven points as they scored 23 to Boston's 30. The gap widened slightly by halftime, with the Thunder adding only 24 points in the second quarter compared to the Celtics' 31.

The third quarter saw a surge from Oklahoma City as they racked up an impressive 36 points, but it was overshadowed by their defensive struggles allowing Boston to score consistently. Despite this effort, they were unable to close in on their opponents who maintained their scoring momentum.

Offensively for Oklahoma City, there were notable performances despite the loss. They shot a commendable free throw percentage of eighty-nine percent and scored fifty-four points in paint out of fifty-one attempts. However, their three-point shooting was lackluster at twenty-one percent accuracy from beyond the arc.

Defensively, it was a challenging night for Oklahoma City as they recorded five blocks and eight steals but could not contain Boston's high-powered offense which had an effective field goal percentage of sixty-four percent and converted forty-two percent from three-point range.
