Thunder's Tactical Mastery

The Oklahoma City Thunder showcased their strategic prowess throughout the game, maintaining the lead for an overwhelming majority of the time at 46:54 minutes. Their offensive and defensive coordination was evident in their statistics - scoring 56 points in the paint and converting 20 points off turnovers. The team's efficiency on both ends of the court was highlighted by their effective field goal percentage standing at 53 percent and true shooting percentage reaching 56 percent.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led his team with an outstanding performance, contributing significantly with 22 points, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. His defensive rating was notably impressive at approximately 91 points per possession. Aaron Wiggins also made significant contributions with his sharpshooting skills that resulted in him scoring 17 points on a remarkable field goal percentage of 60 percent.

Hornets' Struggle and Effort

Despite being outplayed, the Charlotte Hornets showed resilience through their efforts on both ends of the floor. They managed to draw more fouls than Oklahoma City (19 compared to Thunder’s total fouls), which translated into them attempting more free throws (28 attempts) and securing an admirable free throw percentage of approximately 89 percent.

However, their struggle was apparent in converting opportunities into points as they only managed to score one point from fast breaks compared to Oklahoma City’s twelve fast break points. Additionally, despite having equal steals as OKC (nine each), they couldn't capitalize on these opportunities efficiently.
