Thunder's Defensive Stand

The Thunder showcased their defensive capabilities throughout the game, limiting the Nuggets to just 31 percent shooting from the field. OKC's defense was particularly effective in fast break situations, allowing only 7 points on such plays. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge for OKC with an impressive performance in previous games, scoring consistently and contributing significantly on both ends of the court.

Isaiah Hartenstein was instrumental under the basket for OKC, grabbing a total of 14 rebounds and adding crucial points to maintain their lead. His presence in the paint helped limit Denver’s second-chance opportunities as he dominated defensively with an efficiency rating of 19.

Nuggets' Offensive Struggles

The Denver Nuggets struggled offensively against a staunch Thunder defense that forced them into low shooting percentages across various areas of play. Despite Nikola Jokić’s efforts to rally his team with key assists and rebounds, it wasn’t enough to overcome OKC’s defensive pressure.

Denver managed only an effective field goal percentage of 38 percent while being out-rebounded by one board overall (64 total rebounds). Their bench contributed just eight points compared to Oklahoma City's more balanced scoring effort off their bench.
