First Quarter


The game began with both teams showcasing their offensive capabilities. The Denver Nuggets took an early lead by scoring 28 points in the first quarter, while the Thunder closely trailed with 27 points. The Nugs capitalized on fast breaks and efficient shooting from two-point range to establish an initial advantage.


Second Quarter


In the second quarter, both teams mirrored each other's performance by adding another 28 points to their respective scores. OKC's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was instrumental during this period, contributing significantly with his scoring prowess and playmaking abilities. As play resumed after halftime, the third quarter saw a shift in momentum as Denver extended its lead by outscoring OKC 30-24. Despite being down at this stage of the game, Chet Holmgren's defensive presence for OKC was notable; he recorded two blocks and grabbed crucial rebounds that prevented further damage from Denver’s offense.


Fourth Quarter


Entering the final quarter trailing behind, Oklahoma City orchestrated an impressive comeback fueled by strategic plays and relentless energy on both ends of court action—outscoring Denver significantly with a remarkable tally of 34 points compared to just nineteen from their opponents'. Isaiah Hartenstein contributed effectively off-the-bench alongside Alex Caruso who added depth through key assists which helped secure victory for OKC amidst roaring support at Paycom Center arena.
