Oklahoma City Thunder's Fourth Quarter Surge Silences Timberwolves at Target Center

The Oklahoma City Thunder emerged victorious against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a tightly contested playoff battle, with a final score of 128-126. The Thunder now hold a record of 68-14, while the Wolves stand at 49-33. This intense matchup took place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, where both teams showcased their determination to advance further in the playoffs.

First Quarter


The game began with both teams displaying offensive prowess. The Thunder set an early tone by scoring 37 points in the first quarter, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's impressive performance. He contributed significantly to OKC's lead with his scoring and playmaking abilities. Meanwhile, the Wolves managed to keep pace with 30 points of their own, thanks to their efficient shooting from beyond the arc.


Second Quarter


As the second quarter unfolded, both teams continued their offensive onslaught. OKC added another 28 points to their tally while maintaining defensive pressure on Minnesota's key players. Third Quarter


In what became a more defensive-oriented third quarter, both teams struggled slightly from field goal range compared to earlier periods. The Thunder managed only 25 points but maintained composure through strategic ball movement and solid defense led by Luguentz Dort’s efforts on perimeter defense against Minnesota’s sharpshooters like Anthony Edwards who kept Twolves competitive throughout this stretch adding another batch of vital baskets bringing them closer within reach trailing just behind entering into final frame.


Fourth Quarter
