First Quarter

The game kicked off with Oklahoma City setting an aggressive pace, outscoring Dallas 36-25 in the first quarter. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge for OKC, showcasing his scoring prowess early on. The Thunder's defense was equally impressive, limiting the Mavs' offensive opportunities and forcing turnovers that translated into fast-break points.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams tightened their defenses. However, OKC maintained control with a balanced attack and strong rebounding efforts from Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. Despite a slight dip in scoring efficiency, OKC managed to keep their lead intact by ending the half ahead of Dallas.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw Oklahoma City's defense truly shine as they held Dallas to just 20 points while adding another 25 to their tally. Luguentz Dort contributed significantly on both ends of the court, adding crucial steals that disrupted any momentum Big D tried to build. This period highlighted what went wrong for Oklahoma City Thunder in previous games - lack of defensive consistency - but this time they executed flawlessly.

Fourth Quarter

Entering the final quarter with a comfortable lead allowed OKC to manage their rotations effectively while maintaining pressure on Dallas' offense. Although scoring slowed down for both teams, Alex Caruso provided key assists that kept OKC ahead comfortably until the buzzer sounded.

This victory was not only about offensive execution but also about strategic defensive plays that stifled any comeback attempts by Dallas. In post-game analysis discussions and Oklahoma City Thunder post-game interviews, players emphasized teamwork and communication as critical factors in securing this win.
