Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks trade quarter turns at Mortgage Matchup Center as second-chance points swing the finish

First quarter


The Phoenix Suns opened with a 26-15 edge as the Valley held the Bucks to 15 in the opening quarter.


Phoenix hit 40 in the paint on 61 percent finishing there, and the Suns also turned 10 offensive rebounds into 27 second-chance points.


Second quarter


The Milwaukee Bucks flipped the game with a 42-point second quarter while the Suns scored 26 in the same stretch.


Milwaukee shot 41 percent from 3-point range with 16 made 3-pointers, and the Herd added 36 bench points to keep pressure on Phoenix’s rotation.


Third quarter


The Suns answered with a 30-24 third quarter that featured 27 team assists and a 2.7 assist-to-turnover ratio on 10 total turnovers.


Devin Booker posted 14 points with 7 assists, and the Suns paired that playmaking with 7 steals that helped produce 23 points off turnovers.


Fourth quarter


The Bucks closed the night by taking the fourth quarter 27-23, and Milwaukee’s 50 percent shooting from the field held up late.
