Phoenix Suns pour in 18 three pointers as Toronto Raptors chase from behind

The Phoenix Suns moved to 40-32 and the Toronto Raptors slipped to 39-31 in a 120-98 finish at Mortgage Matchup Center on 9:00 PM EDT.

First quarter


The Phoenix Suns opened with 34 points in the first quarter while the Toronto Raptors scored 20.


The Suns shot 52 percent from the field in the game and hit 18 three pointers on 45 percent to set an early scoring margin.


The Raptors finished with 9 blocks and 9 steals, while the Suns countered with 12 steals to disrupt Toronto’s early half-court sets.


Second quarter


The Suns added 32 points in the second quarter, and the Raptors answered with 28 to keep contact before halftime.


Devin Booker posted 25 points and 6 assists in the previous game, and Phoenix’s 24 assists in this one reflected that same ball movement.
