Can the Washington Wizards Maintain Momentum After Victory Over Charlotte Hornets?

Key Performances and Game Highlights


The Wizards showed resilience and teamwork throughout the game, leading for a total of 39 minutes and achieving their biggest lead of 21 points. They capitalized on turnovers, scoring 24 points off turnovers compared to the Hornets' 15. The home team also outperformed in fast break points with 17 against the Hornets' 12.


Jordan Poole stood out for the Wizards with an impressive performance, scoring a team-high of 25 points along with six rebounds and three assists. His contribution was pivotal in securing this much-needed victory for his team. Jonas Valanciunas also made significant contributions with a double-double consisting of 14 points and an astounding twelve rebounds, showcasing his dominance on both ends of the floor.


On defense, Alexandre Sarr was notable for blocking three shots while adding fifteen points to his name, demonstrating his ability as a two-way player. Bilal Coulibaly's effort was commendable as well; he scored twenty points and grabbed six rebounds.


Charlotte Hornets Efforts


Despite their loss, The Charlotte Hornets displayed commendable teamwork with thirty-one assists over The Wizards’ twenty-five and managed to keep up closely behind throughout each quarter. Their efficiency from beyond-the-arc was notable as they made seventeen three-pointers at a forty percent clip compared to The Wizards’ fourteen at thirty-two percent.
