However, it wasn't enough to secure a win against a determined Miami Heat team.


Khris Middleton emerged as a standout player for the Wizards, contributing significantly with 16 points, three assists, and three rebounds. His efficiency on court was impressive, making two-thirds of his field goal attempts including half from beyond the arc. Bub Carrington also had an impactful game with 14 points and seven assists despite shooting only 33 percent from the field.

On defense, however, Washington struggled to contain Miami's offense. The Heat capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring 21 points off them and dominated inside by scoring 46 points in paint compared to Washington's 40.


Miami Heat's Winning Strategy


The Miami Heat demonstrated why they are formidable opponents by maintaining control for most of the game and leading by as much as 26 points at one point. Their balanced attack saw contributions across their roster including an impressive bench performance that added up to 45 points.

Defensively, Miami excelled by stealing possession ten times and blocking four shots which contributed significantly towards limiting Washington’s scoring opportunities. Their defensive prowess was evident as they held Washington to just a thirty-seven percent shooting rate from field goals.
