Wizards' Spell Falls Short as Raptors Rally at Capital One Arena

The Washington Wizards, with a record of 16-43, faced off against the Toronto Raptors, who stood at 35-25. In a high-scoring encounter at Capital One Arena, the Raptors emerged victorious with a final score of 134-125.

First Quarter


The game began with the Wizards taking an early lead. They scored 33 points in the first quarter compared to the Raptors' 25. Bilal Coulibaly was instrumental in this early surge, contributing significantly to his team's offensive efforts.


Second Quarter


As the second quarter unfolded, both teams intensified their play. The Wizards managed to maintain their lead by scoring another 31 points. However, Toronto started closing in by adding 36 points to their tally. Will Riley's consistent shooting kept Washington competitive during this period.


Third Quarter


The third quarter saw a shift in momentum as Toronto outscored Washington with an impressive display of offense, putting up 37 points against Washington's 28. Despite Jamir Watkins' efficient shooting performance for DC, which included making all his two-point attempts and achieving an overall field goal percentage of 80 percent, the North took control.


Fourth Quarter


In the final stretch of play, both teams fought hard but it was Toronto that sealed their victory by matching their second-quarter output with another solid performance of scoring 36 points while limiting DC to just one point less than they had managed earlier on - finishing strong at home court advantage wasn't enough this time around though!
