The Charlotte 49ers faced a challenging game at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium, ending with a score of 31-49 against the Massachusetts Minutemen. The season's record for the Charlotte 49ers now stands at an even split, while the Minutemen have secured their dominance with a stronger record.

The game saw the Charlotte 49ers put up a valiant effort on offense. The team's quarterback had an impressive passing rating of 157 and completed over half of his attempts, throwing for three touchdowns and accumulating a total of 283 yards through the air. Despite being sacked five times, he managed to maintain composure and connected with his receivers for significant gains, including a longest completion of 46 yards.

On the ground, however, it was tough going for the Charlotte rushing attack. They managed only one touchdown and averaged just under two yards per carry across their 41 attempts. Their longest rush was an impressive run of 34 yards but such breakaways were few in this contest.

Special teams contributed solidly with kick returns totaling nearly one hundred yards over five attempts. The field goal unit was perfect on the day as well; they converted their sole attempt from within forty yards.

Defensively, there were bright spots despite the high score against them. The defense forced two fumbles during play—one recovered by themselves—and also recorded one sack on their opponents' quarterback.

Penalties did not significantly impact the game for either side; both teams kept infractions low with only four penalties called against each team throughout playtime.

Looking ahead to future games is essential after any loss or victory alike; fans can mark their calendars as next up for Charlotte is an away game against UAB Blazers at Legion Field in Birmingham on September 29th at approximately six PM local time (11 PM UTC). This upcoming encounter can be watched live by fans via ESPN3 network broadcasts.
