Charlotte 49ers VS Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

At Jerry Richardson Stadium, home to the artificial turf that saw an attendance of over ten thousand fans, the Charlotte 49ers struggled to keep pace with their opponents. Despite their efforts, they were unable to contain the offensive onslaught from the Hilltoppers. The home team's defense managed only one sack and one tackle for loss throughout four quarters of play. On offense, they completed nineteen passes out of thirty-four attempts but suffered two interceptions and five sacks.

The Charlotte offense did manage to accumulate a total of three hundred eighty-four yards during the game with an average gain of four point seven yards per play. They also achieved twenty-two first downs with twelve coming through air and ten on ground efforts. However, penalties proved costly as they racked up sixty-five yards over seven infractions.

A lone bright spot was found in their red zone efficiency where they capitalized on their single opportunity scoring a touchdown via pass completion which accounted for their only seven points in this contest. Their passing game yielded two hundred twenty-three yards including one touchdown pass that covered fourteen yards – this being their longest touchdown connection.

The rushing attack added another one hundred sixty-one yards but failed to reach end zone territory; nevertheless, it contributed ten first downs to keep drives alive at various junctures during playtime. Special teams had limited opportunities but did execute when called upon as evidenced by successfully converting an extra point attempt after their sole touchdown.

Looking ahead after this tough outing, fans can mark their calendars for November twelve when The Charlotte 49ers will take on Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro. This away game is scheduled for eight thirty PM Eastern Time and will be broadcasted on ESPN3 where supporters can tune in to follow The Charlotte's next performance on field.
