At Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium, the Clemson Tigers struggled to find their rhythm against a formidable Duke defense. The Tigers managed to accumulate a total of 422 yards throughout the game but were hindered by three turnovers and two blocked field goal attempts. Despite these setbacks, Clemson's offense was able to make some headway; they achieved an average gain of 5.1 yards per play and secured 29 first downs over the course of the game.

The passing attack for Clemson saw them complete 27 out of 43 attempts for a total of 209 yards, including one touchdown pass that covered just two yards. Their ground game was more productive as they rushed for an impressive total of 213 yards on 40 carries; however, they were unable to convert any rushing attempts into touchdowns despite their longest run being an impressive dash that fell just short at forty-nine yards.

Clemson's special teams had mixed results: while their punting unit managed an average net yardage close to thirty-eight across four punts with two landing inside the twenty-yard line, their field goal unit failed to contribute points on both attempted kicks due to blocks by Duke's special teams.

Defensively, Clemson forced one fumble and recovered it but could not capitalize on this opportunity as much as needed. They also defended two passes effectively but did not manage any interceptions or sacks during this contest.

On the other side, Duke capitalized on opportunities presented by Clemson's mistakes and built up momentum as the game progressed. They scored consistently across quarters three and four while keeping Clemson scoreless during these periods which ultimately sealed their victory.

As fans look ahead after this tough loss for The Tigers, attention turns toward their next challenge. The upcoming home game will see The Clemson Tigers take on Charleston Southern Buccaneers at Memorial Stadium in Clemson on September ninth at six fifteen PM local time (6:15 PM). Fans can catch all the action live as it will be broadcasted on ACC Network satellite channel six hundred twelve (612).

This next encounter offers another chance for The Tigers to regroup and showcase their abilities in front of a supportive home crowd eager for success after this recent disappointment against Duke Blue Devils.
