The game at Miami Gardens' Hard Rock Stadium saw the Clemson Tigers put up a valiant effort, but it wasn't enough to overcome their opponents. The home team managed a total of 484 yards during the game, with 320 passing yards contributing significantly to their offense. Despite this, they were unable to convert these yards into points as often as needed. The passing game saw them complete 30 out of 56 attempts, but two interceptions proved costly.

On the ground, Clemson rushed for a total of 164 yards over 45 attempts and secured one rushing touchdown from within four yards out. Their red zone efficiency stood at fifty percent with two successes out of four attempts; however, they were unsuccessful on all three fourth-down tries which could have changed the momentum in their favor.

On special teams play, kick returns totaled eighty-nine yards across four returns with a long return stretching forty yards.
