First Quarter

The game began with high hopes for the Owls as Garrison Smith successfully converted a field goal from 33 yards out. However, this was overshadowed by the Pirates' offensive onslaught, scoring three touchdowns in quick succession. The FAU defense struggled to contain ECU's dynamic plays, allowing them to take an early lead.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, it became evident that FAU's defense was under immense pressure. Despite Josh Roberts' efforts with one sack and forced fumble recovery by Tyler Stolsky, ECU continued their dominance by adding another three touchdowns before halftime. The Owls' offense found it difficult to break through ECU's defensive line and failed to add any points during this period.

Third Quarter

After halftime adjustments, both teams returned without scoring any points in the third quarter. The FAU defense showed resilience by forcing two three-and-outs but couldn't capitalize offensively due to turnovers and missed opportunities in crucial moments.

Fourth Quarter

In the final quarter of play, neither team managed to score further points as defenses tightened up on both sides. Logan Lupo showcased his punting skills for FAU with an average of over 50 yards per punt across three attempts inside ECU’s 20-yard line.

Despite some individual performances like Gemari Sands rushing for 34 yards and Easton Messer receiving for 86 yards throughout this matchup; overall team performance fell short against an aggressive Pirate squad who capitalized on every opportunity presented during their visit down south at Boca Raton’s home turf venue - Flagler Credit Union Stadium!
