The game saw the Jacksonville State Gamecocks struggle to find their rhythm offensively. The team managed only 156 total yards compared to their opponents' commanding performance. Despite completing 18 out of 35 pass attempts, they could only muster up 86 passing yards with an average of approximately two yards per attempt and no touchdowns. The rushing efforts were slightly more effective with an average of almost five yards per carry over fifteen attempts totaling 70 yards but still failed to produce points on the board.

Defensively, the Gamecocks forced two fumbles and recovered both but were unable to capitalize on these opportunities. They also recorded one sack for four lost yards and made two tackles for loss totaling seven lost yards for their adversaries. However, these efforts did not translate into stopping the Blazers from scoring.

Special teams had a notable moment when one punt was blocked by the opposition; however, this did not significantly impact the overall outcome as no touchdowns resulted from punts or kick returns during this game. The sole kickoff by Jacksonville State went for a touchback.

Penalties played a role in hindering progress as well; nine penalties cost them sixty penalty yards throughout the course of play which contributed to stalling drives and maintaining field position.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for when Jacksonville State will take on Florida State Seminoles at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on September 12th at local time (date format: YYYY-MM-DD). This upcoming game will be broadcasted on ACC Network via satellite channel number six hundred twelve where supporters can follow along as their team seeks redemption after this tough outing.
