The Jacksonville State Gamecocks secured their fifth victory of the season in front of an energetic crowd of 20,992 fans. The home team's offense was on full display as they amassed a total of 309 yards against the Lions. The rushing attack proved to be particularly effective for the Gamecocks, who gained 211 yards on the ground over 37 attempts, averaging nearly six yards per carry. This formidable running game was highlighted by an eight-yard touchdown rush that contributed significantly to their overall score.

The passing game for Jacksonville State was modest but efficient enough to complement their ground dominance. With ten completions out of nineteen attempts and ninety-eight passing yards, they managed to maintain balance on offense. However, one interception did occur during these efforts.

Special teams also played a crucial role in this encounter; two field goals were successfully made from three attempts with one being as long as forty-six yards contributing six points towards their narrow win margin.

Defensively, Jacksonville State showed resilience by sacking North Alabama's quarterback three times for a loss of twenty-two yards and forcing two fumbles which they recovered and returned—one for an impressive hundred-yard touchdown that electrified the stadium. Additionally, an interception return added another thirty-nine-yard touchdown to their defensive accomplishments.

On penalties front, both teams maintained discipline throughout most parts of the game with Jacksonville State committing eight penalties totaling eighty-seven penalty yards—just shy from reaching notable punitive measures.

Looking ahead after this hard-fought victory at home soil against North Alabama Lions; fans can mark their calendars for September 25 when Jacksonville State Gamecocks will face Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks at Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium located in Jacksonville AL with zip code 36265. This upcoming contest is scheduled for an evening kickoff at 8:00 PM local time and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
