In an intense battle at Brooks Stadium, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks displayed commendable effort despite falling short against the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. The Gamecocks' offense accumulated a total of 393 yards, with their ground game contributing significantly through 186 rushing yards. A highlight was a rushing touchdown from within the red zone that spanned 19 yards.

The passing department for the Gamecocks saw them complete 16 out of 28 attempts for an impressive total of 207 yards. Their longest pass completion reached an admirable distance of 42 yards. Despite these efforts, they were unable to convert any passing plays into touchdowns during this encounter.

Special teams played their part effectively as well; all three field goal attempts were successful for the Gamecocks, with the longest being from just inside half-field at around 40 yards. This precision contributed nine points to their tally.

Defensively, Jacksonville State managed to sack Coastal Carolina's quarterback three times for a loss of approximately 28 yards and recorded seven tackles for loss totaling around another loss of about -29 yards overall. However, they could not force any turnovers through interceptions or fumble recoveries which might have shifted momentum in their favor.

On third down conversions, Jacksonville State had moderate success converting six out of fifteen opportunities into first downs which is roughly forty percent conversion rate but failed on both fourth-down attempts they pursued throughout this contest.

As fans look forward to future games, it's important to note that penalties did not heavily impact either team; however, seven penalties costing them about -45 penalty yardage were assessed against Jacksonville State during this game.

Looking ahead after this tough outing on foreign turf at Brooks Stadium in Conway under artificial lights before over sixteen thousand attendees – fans can mark their calendars as Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium will be where Jacksonville State hosts its next football game against Eastern Michigan Eagles on September -23rd starting around -9 PM local time (Jacksonville). This upcoming event will be broadcasted live on ESPN+, allowing supporters who cannot make it to Burgess-Snow Field an opportunity to follow along and cheer for their team from afar.
