In a closely contested match that went into double overtime, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks were edged out by the Eastern Michigan Eagles with a final score of 34-37. However, despite their resilience and determination throughout regular play and into overtime periods where both teams exchanged field goals in the first session before Eastern Michigan secured victory in the second overtime period with another field goal - showcasing how evenly matched both teams were until the very end.
