First Quarter

The game began on a promising note for the Wildcats as they took an early lead with 7 points to none from Ole Miss. The opening quarter saw Kentucky's defense holding strong, preventing any scoring from their opponents.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, however, momentum shifted dramatically in favor of Ole Miss. The Rebels scored 17 points compared to Kentucky's 6. Despite efforts from players like Ty Bryant, who managed two interceptions and contributed significantly to defense with ten tackles and five assists overall, it wasn't enough to stop the Rebel surge.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, both teams continued their offensive efforts. The third quarter saw another touchdown by Seth McGowan for Big Blue as he rushed for two touchdowns throughout the game and accumulated an impressive total of 93 rushing yards on fifteen attempts. However, Ole Miss countered effectively by adding another ten points to their tally.

Fourth Quarter

In what was expected to be a decisive final quarter at Kroger Field—home turf advantage notwithstanding—the Wildcats could only manage three additional points through field goals executed flawlessly by Jacob Kauwe who maintained his perfect kicking percentage across three attempts during this match-up; meanwhile allowing just three more from Mississippi’s side sealing their victory ultimately over UK’s squad despite valiant last-minute drives attempted late into regulation time itself here today too!
