First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams exchanging touchdowns. The Cards managed to keep pace with UVA's initial score as Miller Moss connected with Chris Bell for a touchdown pass. Both teams ended the first quarter tied at 7-7.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both defenses tightened up but allowed one touchdown each. The Cards' defense was led by Antonio Watts and Wesley Bailey who combined for two sacks during this period. Despite their efforts, UVA matched Louisville's scoring output, keeping it even at halftime.

Third Quarter

The third quarter proved challenging for Louisville as they struggled offensively and failed to score any points. Meanwhile, UVA capitalized on this opportunity by adding ten points to their tally through effective passing plays and solid field goal execution.

Fourth Quarter

Entering the fourth quarter trailing by ten points, Louisville mounted an impressive comeback attempt. Moss orchestrated a drive that resulted in another touchdown pass to Bell and Cooper Ranvier added a field goal that tied up the game once more at 27-27.

Overtime

In overtime, despite strong defensive plays from D'Angelo Hutchinson and TJ Quinn who contributed significantly throughout regulation time with tackles and assists respectively, it was not enough to stop UVA from securing victory with an additional six-point effort.
