At Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium, the Missouri Tigers displayed an impressive offensive performance against the visiting Bulldogs. The home team amassed a total of 558 yards with an average gain of seven yards per play. The rushing attack was particularly effective as they churned out 323 yards on the ground over 50 attempts, achieving an average of nearly six and a half yards per carry. This relentless ground game led to five rushing touchdowns for the Tigers, including one from as far as 34 yards out.

The passing game complemented this effort efficiently; although it accounted for just one touchdown pass—a modest five-yard completion—it contributed significantly to maintaining drive momentum with ten first downs through aerial efforts. Overall, Missouri's quarterback managed to complete two-thirds of his passes for a total of 235 passing yards.

Defensively, the Tigers were just as formidable. They recorded four sacks and nine tackles for loss while limiting their opponents' scoring opportunities significantly. The defense also proved opportunistic by intercepting three passes from Bulldog quarterbacks—one being returned all the way for a touchdown after covering twenty-nine yards.

Special teams played their role effectively too; all kickoffs by Missouri resulted in eight touchbacks from nine attempts and their field goal unit was perfect on the day with one successful attempt from thirty-one yards out.

Penalties could have been an area of concern as both teams were flagged ten times each; however, it did not seem to hamper Missouri's progress significantly throughout this encounter.

As fans look ahead after this convincing display by their team at home soil under artificial lights before nearly forty-eight thousand spectators—the next challenge awaits them away from home turf. The upcoming game will see them face off against Kansas State Wildcats at Bill Snyder Family Stadium located in Manhattan on September 10th at noon local time (11:00 AM ET).
