Missouri Tigers Overcome Arkansas Razorbacks in a Focused Home Victory

The Missouri Tigers improved their season record to 9-3 with a hard-fought 28-21 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks, who now stand at 6-6. The game, held at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri, saw the home team executing a balanced attack to secure the win.

Key Performances on the Field


The Tigers' offense was led by quarterback Brady Cook, who threw for 168 yards with a completion rate of 50 percent and an average of 8.4 yards per attempt. His efforts were complemented on the ground by Marcus Carroll, who rushed for 90 yards and scored two touchdowns, showcasing his critical role in the team's rushing attack that totaled 193 yards.


On defense, Johnny Walker Jr. stood out with his performance that included one sack and two forced fumbles. Eddie Kelly Jr. also contributed significantly with one sack and a tackle for loss that resulted in nine lost yards for the Razorbacks.


Special teams played their part as well; Blake Craig was perfect on field goal attempts, contributing six points from kicks of up to 34 yards long.

Missouri's defense was relentless throughout the game, forcing three fumbles and recovering two of them which played a pivotal role in halting Arkansas' momentum at crucial stages of the contest. The defensive unit's ability to apply pressure resulted in two sacks and four tackles for loss against Arkansas.


The Tigers showed efficiency when it mattered most; they capitalized on all their red zone opportunities with a success rate of 100 percent which included scoring three rushing touchdowns. Their ability to convert on third down (40 percent) and fourth down (66 percent) kept drives alive leading to scores or valuable field position gains.
