The Buckeyes' offense was unstoppable throughout the game, amassing a total of 533 yards. The ground game proved particularly effective for Ohio State as they rushed for 325 yards. The longest rush was an impressive 44-yard dash that contributed to one of their four rushing touchdowns, with the longest reaching just shy of that mark at 43 yards. Through the air, Ohio State's passing attack added another three touchdowns and accumulated 218 yards on a completion percentage of about 55 percent.

Special teams also played a pivotal role in this comprehensive performance by the Buckeyes. Their kickoffs traveled for a total of 557 yards and included three touchbacks out of nine attempts. Moreover, all seven extra point kicks were successful following each touchdown scored by Ohio State.

Defensively, Ohio State remained stout throughout the contest with two sacks totaling seventeen lost yards for Illinois and five tackles for loss. They forced two fumbles during the game and recovered one from Illinois while keeping penalties to just seven occurrences costing them sixty-eight yards.

Ohio Stadium witnessed an efficient display from its team as well; every trip to both red zone and goal-to-go situations resulted in points on all six occasions they advanced into these critical areas. On third down conversions, they succeeded ten out of eighteen times which helped maintain drives and control possession time significantly over Illinois.

As fans look ahead after this emphatic win by their beloved Buckeyes, attention turns towards their next challenge against rivals Michigan Wolverines at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on November twenty-fifth at noon local time (5 PM GMT). This much-anticipated encounter will be broadcasted live on FOX where fans can tune in to witness another chapter unfold in this storied rivalry.
