The Boilermakers' rushing attack was particularly effective, amassing 303 yards over 54 attempts and scoring two touchdowns. Their longest rush was an impressive 62-yard dash through the defense. The ground game proved to be Purdue's strength as they achieved a total of 16 first downs via rushes.
