The home team, Purdue Boilermakers, put up a valiant effort on their turf. The offense managed to accumulate a total of 448 yards throughout the game, with a significant contribution from their passing game which accounted for 371 yards. The quarterback's arm was active as he completed 34 passes out of 52 attempts and threw for one touchdown. However, he also suffered four sacks and one interception during the contest.

Purdue's rushing attack struggled to gain traction against a stout Minnesota defense, totaling just 77 yards on 34 carries. Despite these challenges on the ground, they still managed to secure six first downs via rushes.

Special teams had mixed results; while two field goals were successfully made from within the range of 39 yards or less, one attempt was missed. On kickoffs, only one resulted in a touchback out of four attempts.

On defense, despite not recording any sacks or interceptions against their opponents' offense, they did manage to keep them at bay for much of the game.

The visiting team from Minnesota capitalized on key moments to secure their victory over Purdue. They scored points in every quarter while holding Purdue scoreless in both third and fourth quarters.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home for Purdue Boilermakers fans is another challenging encounter as they prepare to face off against Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium located in Iowa City. This upcoming event is scheduled for October 16th at approximately noon local time and will be broadcasted live on ABC network where fans can tune in to support their team once again.
