Purdue's Defensive Efforts

The defense was under constant pressure from an aggressive Notre Dame offense. However, individual efforts shone through; Shitta Sillah and Kydran Jenkins each contributed significantly to Purdue's defensive efforts. Sillah recorded one sack for a loss of 10 yards and added another tackle for loss, showcasing his ability to penetrate the backfield. Jenkins also made his presence felt with half a sack and four tackles in total, indicating his versatility on defense.

Special teams had moments of effectiveness as well; Keelan Crimmins punted ten times for an impressive total of 473 yards, managing to place three punts inside the 20-yard line which is crucial in field position battles. His longest punt sailed 64 yards, demonstrating both power and precision.

Offensive Highlights

On offense, Reggie Love III provided some spark with his rushing attempts totaling 61 yards over ten carries - averaging six yards per carry which stands out as one of the more positive aspects of Purdue's offensive production during this game. Hudson Card managed to connect on one touchdown pass despite being under siege throughout the game resulting in four sacks against him.

Max Klare emerged as Card’s favorite target catching three passes for a total of thirty-six yards showing some promise in tight situations. De'Nylon Morrissette found himself on the receiving end of Purdue’s lone touchdown contributing positively amidst an otherwise difficult day for Boilermaker receivers.
