The South Carolina Gamecocks put up a valiant effort despite falling short to their hosts. Their offense accumulated a total of 333 yards with an average gain of 5.3 yards per play over 63 plays. The rushing attack was particularly notable as it contributed significantly with 132 yards; this included an impressive longest rush that resulted in a touchdown from 75 yards out, one of two rushing touchdowns for the team.

The passing game for South Carolina was efficient in completion percentage, connecting on nearly 69 percent of passes thrown and amassing over half of their total yardage through air with 201 receiving yards. However, they were unable to find the end zone via pass and suffered six sacks which hindered their overall offensive momentum.

Special teams played reliably for South Carolina as well, where field goal kicking stood out with perfect execution – both attempts from within and beyond forty yards were successful. Punting also showed consistency with an average net yardage close to forty-five across five attempts.

Defensively, South Carolina managed to apply pressure resulting in one sack and two interceptions returned for sixteen yards combined but could not contain Tennessee's scoring drives effectively enough throughout all four quarters.

On Tennessee's side, they demonstrated strong play across both offense and defense contributing to their victory margin. They capitalized on scoring opportunities consistently which is evident by matching or exceeding ten points each quarter throughout the game.

As fans look forward to future games, they can mark their calendars for when Williams-Brice Stadium will host another exciting college football event on October 14th at 7:30 PM local time as Florida Gators visit Columbia to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks. This upcoming home game will be broadcasted live on SEC Network (satellite channel number:611), offering fans another opportunity to support their team.
