In an intense game of football, the South Carolina Gamecocks displayed a valiant effort against the Georgia Bulldogs. Despite their determination, the Gamecocks fell short with a ten-point deficit by game's end. The offense managed to accumulate 309 total yards with a balanced attack through air and ground. Quarterback play was pivotal as they completed 22 passes for 256 yards and achieved a passer rating of over 101. However, two interceptions proved costly in their quest for victory.

The rushing department contributed with modest success; on 16 attempts, they amassed just over three yards per carry and secured one touchdown from within two yards out. Their receiving corps caught passes averaging almost twelve yards per reception and also contributed one touchdown.

Penalties played a significant role in this contest as the Gamecocks were flagged eleven times for seventy-three yards which hindered their momentum at crucial junctures of the game. On special teams, kickoffs were executed well with two touchbacks from three attempts while punters maintained an average close to thirty-eight yards across five punts.

Defensively, South Carolina showed resilience by registering two sacks and four tackles for loss while defending passes twice throughout the game. However, it wasn't enough to stifle Georgia's offense which put up twenty-four points against them.
