Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams mirrored their first-quarter performances. Alabama added another touchdown to their tally while South Carolina responded with another field goal from Joyce, this time from 39 yards out. Despite trailing at halftime, South Carolina's defense showed resilience by limiting Alabama's offensive advances.

Third Quarter

The third quarter marked a turning point for the Gamecocks as they mounted a comeback effort. LaNorris Sellers connected on a spectacular 54-yard touchdown pass to Nyck Harbor that electrified the home crowd and brought them within striking distance. William Joyce continued his stellar performance by adding two more field goals to his name.

Fourth Quarter

As tensions rose in the fourth quarter, both teams battled fiercely for dominance. The Tide surged ahead with two touchdowns and successfully converted one two-point attempt. However, Sellers showcased his dual-threat capability by rushing for a crucial touchdown himself and keeping South Carolina competitive until late in the game.

Despite their valiant efforts and strategic plays throughout all four quarters—highlighted by Vicari Swain forcing fumbles—the Cocks ultimately fell short as they succumbed to Alabama’s relentless pressure resulting in a final scoreline favoring Alabama: 29-22.

Looking ahead after this intense matchup between these SEC rivals—the next challenge awaits when South Carolina travels away on November 1st at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium against Ole Miss Rebels; kickoff scheduled for broadcast via ESPN Networks starting at approximately around noon Eastern Time (1:00 PM EDT).
