The game, held at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium, saw the Temple Owls take an early lead and maintain their dominance throughout. The Owls' offense was particularly effective, amassing a total of 429 yards. Quarterback play was a highlight for the team as they achieved an impressive passing rating of 153 with two passing touchdowns. Both touchdowns were significant plays with one being a remarkable 47-yard completion that also marked the longest touchdown pass.

The rushing game contributed solidly to the offensive effort as well, with two rushing touchdowns and an average gain per attempt rounding up to four yards over 52 attempts. The red zone efficiency stood out with both attempts resulting in scores, showcasing their ability to capitalize on crucial opportunities.

Defensively, Temple's performance was equally strong. They recorded seven sacks for a loss of 28 yards and forced two fumbles which they successfully recovered both times. Their defensive pressure also led to two interceptions returned for a total of 78 yards; one return culminated in an electrifying touchdown covering that same distance.

Special teams had moments worth noting too; although no field goals were attempted by either side during this game, kickoffs from Temple covered substantial ground totaling up to 349 yards across six instances.

Penalties were minimal but impactful for both sides as each incurred four penalties throughout the contest; however it did not significantly hinder either team's momentum or scoring potential.

As fans look forward to future games, they can anticipate another home game for the Temple Owls against Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on September 20th at approximately half past seven in the evening Eastern Time (ET). This upcoming event will be broadcasted on ESPN channel number 206 where fans can tune in to support their team.
