At Neyland Stadium, home to over 100,000 fans on game day, the Tennessee Volunteers put forth a valiant effort against their opponents. Despite falling short in overall points, the team showcased some notable performances. The offense managed to accumulate a total of 387 yards with an average gain of 4.6 yards per play out of their 84 plays from scrimmage.

The passing game was particularly active for Tennessee as they completed 30 passes on 48 attempts for a total of 332 yards and two touchdowns. Their longest pass completion stretched for an impressive distance of 53 yards. The quarterback's performance yielded a rating of approximately 130 and included nine red zone attempts.

On special teams, Tennessee's punting unit worked hard with four attempts totaling to an average yardage close to that achieved by professional standards. They managed one punt inside the opponent's twenty-yard line and had only five return yards allowed against them.

Defensively, Tennessee recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss while amassing seventy combined tackles throughout the contest. However, they were unable to secure any interceptions or fumble recoveries during this encounter.

In terms of efficiency on critical downs, Tennessee converted nine out of twenty third-down opportunities and three out five fourth-down chances into first downs or touchdowns – demonstrating resilience in high-pressure situations.

The kicking team also contributed points through field goals; they successfully made one field goal from within twenty-nine yards contributing three points towards their final score tally.

As far as penalties are concerned, six were called against them resulting in forty penalty yards but did not significantly hinder their progress downfield as evidenced by their twenty-two first downs – fifteen coming from passing plays alone.

Looking ahead after this tough contest at home soil in Knoxville city under clear skies on turf ground at Neyland Stadium will be another opportunity for redemption when they host South Alabama Jaguars next week on November twenty-first at seven thirty PM Eastern Time Zone which can be viewed live on ESPNU satellite channel two hundred eight.
