The game was marked by an impressive offensive display from the home team, as they amassed a total of 445 yards. The Bruins' rushing attack was particularly effective, churning out 291 yards on 51 attempts for an average of nearly six yards per carry. Their ground game also contributed one touchdown to their tally.

UCLA's passing game complemented their rushing efforts well. The quarterback threw for four touchdowns and completed an impressive 73 percent of his passes for a total of 192 yards through the air. This aerial assault was characterized by efficiency within scoring range; UCLA capitalized on red zone opportunities with an impressive conversion rate of over eighty-three percent.

Special teams also played a pivotal role for the Bruins, as they executed two successful field goals out of three attempts and maintained perfect execution on extra point kicks with five made out of five.

Defensively, UCLA managed to sack Stanford's quarterback twice and intercepted three passes throughout the game – one being returned thirty-nine yards for a touchdown that added to their scoreline.

On penalties, both teams kept it relatively clean; however, eight penalties were called against UCLA totaling seventy penalty yards which could have been decisive in such a tight contest.

Stanford Cardinal did not let up either; they matched each play with equal intensity and managed to edge past by just one point when all was said and done. Their offense put up forty-eight points against UCLA's defense despite three interceptions thrown by their quarterback.

As fans reflect on this nail-biter at Pasadena's iconic Rose Bowl Stadium where no fans were present due to restrictions, they will undoubtedly look forward to more action-packed games featuring these two formidable opponents in future broadcasts.
